I live in NYC (no, I did not vote for Trump either time; this election I voted for Kamala Harris because she is amazing) and the thrift shops are pretty bare. Of Earth Vintage has just what I have been looking for (sort of whimsigoth) and everything I bought was in terrific shape (and the sizes are pretty reliable; I bought my usual size and everything fit.)
